What age is good to get a nose job?

For me, it’s usually when the patient reaches the age of eighteen. This is due to a combination of clinical and personal considerations. In general, by the time people reach the age of 16, their noses are rather mature and well grown. The nose is very stable at this point and isn’t likely to develop or change much more. That’s crucial because you don’t want to operate on a moving target when performing surgery. You want the body to stabilize so that you know what you’re working on and that the modifications you make will be long-lasting. This is a wonderful age to start. For example, in cases of cleft lip and cleft rhinoplasty surgery, we will operate on patients who have nasal defects at birth for their last nose surgery at that age. As a result, 16 is an appropriate age for this.

When is the best time to have rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is generally the best solution when your nose is out of proportion with the rest of your face or lacks the desired appearance. The nose is a prominent feature that is difficult to conceal. This is especially problematic for toddlers and teenagers who are eager to get surgery and accept their new appearance.

Rhinoplasty for teenagers

The most prevalent cosmetic surgery performed on American teenagers is rhinoplasty. This surgery was performed on about 30,000 teenagers in 2013. While rhinoplasty can be performed successfully on teenagers, it is not always the best moment. In order to determine if the timing is suitable, you’ll need to work closely with a reputable cosmetic surgeon.

Wait until the nose is fully developed

Before undergoing rhinoplasty surgery, teenagers should wait until their nose has grown to adult proportions. Female patients reach this milestone at a younger age than male patients. Girls are normally ready for rhinoplasty at the age of 15 or 16 (occasionally sooner), while boys are usually ready at the age of 16 or 17 approximately a year later.

Maturity Is Important

When it comes to teen rhinoplasty, the size of the nose isn’t the only factor to consider. It’s also crucial to ensure sure the prospective patient is old enough to undergo surgery. Rhinoplasty is a surgical treatment that lasts a lifetime. Teens considering rhinoplasty should do so for the right reasons and with realistic expectations for the procedure’s outcome. Rhinoplasty can improve the appearance of your nose, but it won’t improve your overall self-esteem.

Non-invasive nasal correction is an option to consider

For people who are not yet ready for surgical rhinoplasty, non-invasive nasal correction (using various fillers to alter the shape and curves of the nose) can be an effective option. This method isn’t permanent, but it can produce remarkable results in as little as 15 minutes with no downtime.
